Certificate of Occupancy
Issued by the state government under the Land Use Act. It grants the right to occupy the land, typically for 99 years.
Governor's Consent
The state's approval of a transfer when land that already has a title is sold to a new owner.
Deed of Assignment
The agreement that transfers ownership from seller to buyer. It should be registered at the land registry.
Survey Plan
A surveyor's plan of the exact boundaries. It's used to confirm the land isn't under government acquisition.
